What is Gutsy Film Festival?
Gutsy is a film festival celebrating the work of filmmakers living with hidden disabilities and chronic illnesses. It’s a supportive, inclusive space to showcase creativity, share stories, and connect with others.

Who can submit a film?
Anyone who identifies as having a hidden disability or chronic illness is welcome to submit their work.

Can anyone attend the event?
Yes! Everyone is welcome - whether you’re a filmmaker, part of the industry, love short films, or are interested in building a network of people living with a similar condition. We want to create a space where people feel seen, supported and inspired.

What kind of films are you looking for?
All genres are welcome! Your film doesn't need to be about illness or disability - we’re interested in your voice, whatever story you’re telling. The only requirement is that your film is under 12 minutes in length.

Is there a submission fee?
Nope! Submissions are completely free.
​
When is the deadline for submissions?
The final deadline is 30 May 2025.

How do I submit my film?
You can submit your film via the form on our homepage.

When will the official selection be announced?
We will be announcing the official selection in June 2025.

Where can I get tickets?
Tickets will be available to purchase directly from The Garden Cinema’s website starting May 2025, and well as through a link on our homepage.
